From John Paisley:
In 2014, I was honored to receive the appointment to fill the vacant seat on the Alamance County Board of Commissioners. Within the first week on the Board, I met with every department head to discuss the needs and goals of Alamance County. I tried to balance the needs of these departments with the needs and concerns of county citizens.
I was again honored to be given the opportunity to serve Alamance County in the 2020 election. During my time as your County Commissioner I have worked to improve life in Alamance County. I truly want our county to be more than a bedroom community. I have tried to work with all citizens to balance the county's need for strong schools, the need for community safety through strongly supported law enforcement, first responders and court systems, for support of veterans whose service has supported our way of life, and for preservation of the Alamance County way of life through protection of farmland and continuation of a valuable parks and recreation system.
I want our children to have access to an educational system that encourages a love of learning and provides the skills that will allow them to choose futures here in our county, making Alamance County their permanent home.
I want businesses to move to Alamance County for the amazing quality of life available here. Business that we recruit should increase employment opportunities by providing jobs with above average salaries and benefits and that are good community partners.
I want Alamance county leaders to evaluate needs and available resources so that taxpayers are not harmed but government responsibilities are adequately met.
If re- elected as your County Commissioner, I pledge to use my knowledge of the law and legal processes, my ability to focus on solutions , and my knowledge of Business practices to accomplish goals, protect taxpayers and to serve all residents of Alamance County.
